COVID-19 Response and Offerings
Adirondack Recovery Care is committed to supporting your recovery, safety and health throughout the COVID-19 crisis and we wanted to update you with important information that may be helpful to you.
All of our coaching programs and support groups are now offered on-line. This includes all private one-on-one coaching and our weekly SMART Recovery and SMART Recovery Family and Friends Meetings.
Our coaching programs help you define what recovery means to you personally and builds your awareness of the thoughts, feelings and actions that contribute to the addictive behaviors you experience, enabling you to reclaim your power and take back control of your life. You may not be able to control the events that are unfolding as a result of this crisis, but you can control how you respond to them. We are here to help you navigate; to make the wisest choices in your responses so you stay safe and healthy in your recovery.
To help you maintain your resolve and your peace of mind we are opening up our Just-For-Now coaching program for free until April 12. This program will help you cope with the day-to-day challenges of life as they happen and make you more aware of the best way for you to approach the uncertainties that have entered your life. It is support when and where you need it most. You can find out more here.
SMART Recovery is an evidence based non 12-Step support group for any type of addiction. It focuses on mastering the skills of a cognitive behavioral toolset to help build and maintain motivation, cope with urges, manage thoughts feelings and behaviors and live a balanced life. Family and Friends teaches CRAFT, in addition to the cognitive behavior toolset. CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) focuses on helping the family and friends of those with addictions take care of themselves and learn what they can do to effectively help their loved one seek recovery without intervention. You can find out more and register here.
Putting your recovery at risk puts you at greater risk for the more severe consequences of COVID-19. A sudden loss of your support system can increase that risk as well. And right now, this is the reality many people are facing. Not having a plan or knowing how to deal with this can have a devastating impact on you emotionally, physically and most importantly on your recovery. Coaching and SMART Recovery are wonderful programs offering support and tools that can help allay your fears and boost your “Recovery Immunity”. Join us! Let's stay stronger together.
Please stay well as you adjust to the changes happening around you.
With Love and Hope,
